Treat yourself to delicious meals with this wooden bento from Japan

The lacquered wood bento appeared during the Azuchi-Momoyama period which began in 1568 and ended in 1600. Its design is inspired by the farmers' seed box. At that time, the samurai and powerful Lord Warlord Oda Nobunaga was distributing wooden bentos to everyone standing in front of his castle.

This light wood bento box has a 3-compartment tray. This organization is ideal for preparing a complete meal consisting of a starter, a main dish and a dessert. Eco-friendly fabric packaging (furoshiki) is decorated with kuma motifs that represent bears.

Here are our suggestions for enjoying good home made lunch breaks with the bento box :

💯 The advantage of the lunch box is its size. It allows you to adjust the quantities to your level of appetite and satisfy small dips as well as big cravings.

💯 Equipped with an airtight closure and an elastic strap, the bento keeps food at room temperature and ensures a hassle-free transport. However, be careful not to put it in the microwave.

💯 To enjoy a rich, complete and dietary meal, we advise you to prepare it with starchy foods, proteins, vegetables and fruits. The lunch box is the perfect compromise to fill up on energy for the afternoon.
